Course Description: Provides a rigorous introduction to fundamentals of statistics motivated by engineering applications and emphasizing the informed use of modern statistical software. Topics include sufficient statistics, exponential families, estimation, hypothesis testing, measures of performance, and notion of optimality. Alternate years.
